Installation of our new Chancellor: your chance to be there

We are excited to provide all staff with a unique opportunity to be part of a prestigious Hallam occasion.

On Thursday 26 July we will officially welcome Baroness Helena Kennedy QC to her role as Chancellor, in which she will be the ceremonial head of the University, working with the Vice-Chancellor and others to promote our achievements regionally, nationally and internationally. The Installation Ceremony will also see our current Chancellor, Professor the Lord Robert Winston, accept an honorary degree from the University as we celebrate Robert’s contribution to our University.

There are 40 places at the ceremony available for staff which will be allocated by ballot. The ceremony will be attended by city and regional dignitaries, representatives from other universities and, of course, some of our students; it’s a wonderful opportunity for you to be part of a special Hallam celebration.
