This year’s annual SHU Space & Place Group conference will take place in Norfolk 210 on Wednesday 13 June (9.30am-5.00pm). All are welcome at this free, interdisciplinary event, which this year is themed around “investigating infrastructure”. We have 13 presentations and activities, featuring SHU academics from across the institution, and collaborators beyond. The day will touch on matters of design, politics, social interaction, poetics, history and zombies – all as they relate to ‘infrastructure’ (in its broadest sense) – with all contributions underpinned by the group’s commitment to investigating and discussing evolving modes of space and place research.

The SHU SPG was formed in 2011, it exists as a loose, informal collaborative network and meets 2-3 times per year to explore and promote interdisciplinary collaborations around space and place research via themed events and conversations.
