To mark Global Ethics Day on October 18, Sheffield Hallam University is participating in the 2nd International Day of Action Against Contract Cheating.
To support awareness of contract cheating, this 90 minute workshop will provide an opportunity for staff to consider:
- what constitutes contract cheating
- whether it’s a problem at SHU
- why students resort to contract cheating
- how it can be detected
- what we can do to deter students from using these services
- how assessments can be designed to reduce the opportunities for contract cheating
Who should attend?
Academic staff who are involved in teaching and marking student work, as well as those who advise students on academic skills and university regulations. It is a valuable opportunity to share your own experience and practices and contribute to a cross-university conversation on this important issue.
