New dates for Wellness Workshops have been released for Autumn 2017. All the details can be found on the SHU Wellness site and the first course up is Leading an Active Lifestyle.
What is this session about?
This course comprises of 2 x 1 hour sessions. The first hour is designed to boost your knowledge around the physical activity guidelines and focuses on the importance of small steps. The second session will be facilitated 4 weeks later and is designed for you to reflect on your progress and identify strategies around relapse prevention and barrier management.
How will this workshop benefit me?
- To increase your awareness of physical activity recommendations and the benefits of being active.
- To explore the principals to physical activity and finding activities that is right for you.
- To create a personalised bespoke exercise goal
- To track your progress after 4 weeks
- To identify barrier management and relapse prevention strategy
Two x 1 hour sessions. Both sessions run from 9.30-10.30am and will be held at City Campus. Please note that you must be available for both of these sessions
- Session 1 – Tuesday 10th October 2017
- Session 2 – Tuesday 7th November 2017
