Nominations are still open for staff wishing to join the University’s Information and Consultation Committee (ICC).
The ICC provides an opportunity for managers, trade union representatives and elected staff representatives to discuss and work together on university-wide issues such as financial performance, the business strategy, employment matters and the working environment.
An elected member is sought to represent staff in one of each of four areas of the University – administrative; technical; support (manual); and teaching and research.
If you think you could represent your staff group on all aspects of University business, bringing their opinions to the table and sharing information, then why not consider putting yourself forward as a potential ICC member?
As a staff representative, you will have the opportunity to learn about various issues, meet colleagues from across the University and be able to comment on and influence University decisions. One of our previous representatives told us that “Acting as an ICC rep gave me the opportunity to see how the University operates at a different level, and is a great way to network with people that you wouldn’t normally meet. It also gives the constituency you work for a platform to discuss topics of relevance that need cross University involvement”.
The term of office will last until Spring 2020.
