Cycle to Work Day is on Wednesday 13 September. This national event celebrates cycling as a method of travel and encourages everyone to get on their bike. To commemorate the day, Bike Rehab will be in Hallam Square between 8am – 2pm offering a free drop in Bike Doctor service.
The University is also taking part in Cycle September, a fun, free competition between workplaces to see which can get the most people riding a bike. There’s lots of exciting prizes up for grabs too! Everyone can take part – it doesn’t matter if you ride every day or haven’t been on a bike in years – and you can ride anytime, anywhere. Find out more and register to take part.
If you’re new to cycling and want to give it a go, the University offers the Cycle to Work scheme. This initiative offers staff the chance to get a brand new bike and equipment tax free through a salary sacrifice scheme.
