The print balance you see on your PC desktop has been reset so you can keep an eye on the accumulating cost of your printing over each SHU financial year.
Making the impact of printing visible to staff is just one of the green print initiatives DTS has been pursuing over the past few years which have considerably reduced the amount of printing we do in the University and the resources we use to do it.
Thank you for being a part of this. The work we’ve already done has been shortlisted for the 2017 Green Gown awards. Between the end of 2014 to the end of 2016 the amount of paper used annually in printing at the University was down by 2.35 million pages, this represents a stack of sheets equivalent to more than one and half times the height of the London Eye.
Please help us by continuing to consider when and how you print, so we can carry on improving the sustainability of the service and make greater cost savings. To find out more, visit our intranet site.
