A University-wide Charity Football Tournament will take place on Friday 23 June at the SHU Sports Park to raise money for Cavendish Cancer Care.
The tournament is open to all University staff and students and costs £50 to enter a team of 7 (plus 3 substitutes max) with all proceeds to Cavendish Cancer Care. Mixed teams are welcome; however, if you want to enter a female-only team and do not want to play in the tournament with men, we are also planning to put on a ladies-only tournament depending on the number of teams entering.
The winning team will receive £100 worth of High Street vouchers. To take part complete the entry form. Teams have until Monday 12 June to pay the fee, either by calling 0114 225 3000 or by going to Pearson or City Campus gym reception to pay. If the entry fee is not paid by this date, your team will not be able to participate in the tournament. Tournament rules and further information about the day will be released to teams that sign up.
Kick off is at 4.30pm with the trophy presentations at 7.30pm. The event will offer a range of additional activities for friends and spectators. There will also be food and drink on sale too, so there’s something for everyone!
Parking on site is limited. There is coach travel arranged for transport to and from the city centre and the Sports Park.
