Last year Move More saw 5,500 people download the app and more than 7,000 people get involved through various challenges including the Steel City Derby and workplace challenge. Overall the people of Sheffield managed to clock up an impressive 6.5 million active minutes.
This year Move More month will be taking place over June and we’re asking you once again to get your trainers or best walking shoes on, take up the challenge and smash last year’s total minutes, by reaching the 10 million mark.
A number of improvements have been made since last year’s challenge and you can now track your activity using the Move More app, or by choosing from a long list of apps and wearable tracking devices, or manually enter your steps from a pedometer.
You can also sign up your own team with a maximum of 10 people per team. We’ll let you know as soon as you can sign up.
