Sheffield charity Haven provides support to children and young people affected by domestic abuse. Each year an estimated 17000 children in the city are impacted by domestic abuse in their parents’/carers’ relationship. This can manifest itself in many ways in the child or young person who may develop emotional difficulties, problems with anger or anxiety, behavioural problems, poor attachments or simply not know what a healthy relationship looks like.
Haven helps to improve the lives of the children and young people that they work with through the provision of specialist services, education and research however they rely purely on grants and donations to do this.
