During 2017, the University staff email system will be moving to a new version of Outlook (in Office 365). This will give individuals considerably larger mailbox space as well as easier access from mobile devices such as tablets and mobile phones. It also offers cost savings for the University.
Staff in Digital Technology Services (DTS) will be piloting this during March and April to test for any issues and compile information to help other users when they move across. DTS are planning to roll it out to different areas in stages so that all staff will be able to use the new version of Outlook in 2017. While the roll out is happening, users who are still on the old version of Outlook may sometimes find they need to login a second time to view calendars of those who have already moved to Outlook 365.
