The De-stress Day is timed to help remind final year students of the importance of looking after their mental wellbeing, especially in the final build up to exams and assignments deadlines. The event also offers a practical opportunity for students to ‘take a break’.
With a bit of strategic planning, the De-stress Day takes place in a 4 hour gap in their timetable so as many of them as possible can take part and enjoy the day.
A weekly Maths Arcade is also available to help maths students develop as part of a community and build a sense of belonging. There are numerous puzzles, board games, hot drinks and pastries. Students from all years and staff can spend time together outside formal teaching.
