Using integrative review to drive effective practice

Thursday 9 March, 1-3.30pm at Cantor – 9003

Offered as part of our Interventions with Impact series of workshops, Using integrative review to drive effective practice considers how to construct an integrative review (IR) for building evidence-based practice in emerging and/or contested areas

By participating in this workshop, you will engage with the IR methodology and consider its effectiveness in a range of disciplinary areas.  The session will outline the practicalities of undertaking an IR, the distinction from other forms of research review (such as a systematic review), potential benefits and ethical considerations for research teams and/or solo researchers.

This session would be of particular interest to doctoral and masters research supervisors and research teams in any discipline which seeks to provide evidence informed practice.  It may also be useful for staff within academic departments who wish to evaluate the impact of institutional processes and practices.

The workshop will be led by Stella Jones-Devitt, Helen Parkin and Liz Austen and will draw upon their recent application of this methodology in a QAA funded project investigating teaching excellence and digital capability.
