BBC recruiting female experts

The BBC is looking for female experts from any area of expertise who’d like to appear on air as contributors to BBC programmes; our News & PR team are co-ordinating the application process and can support you with your application.

In conjunction with BBC News and Women in Film and Television UK, the BBC Academy is holding a free media familiarisation day for women with particular expertise who are interested in appearing on television, radio and online as contributors or presenters.

The aim is to offer an introduction to the media, including practical experiences in front of a camera and in a radio studio, as well as masterclasses with industry professionals including experienced programme makers.

If you are interested in contributing to television, radio and online content, and can be at BBC Broadcasting House in London on Friday 31 March, then please get in touch with the News & PR team.

How to apply

The application process involves sending a CV and a short film of no more than two minutes duration. The News & Public Relations team can help with this. Please contact them on ext.2811 or email pressoffice@shu.ac.uk.

The closing date for applications is 23:59 Sunday 26 February and successful applicants will be notified by Wednesday 15 March.

Only apply if you are able to be at BBC Broadcasting House in London on Friday 31 March.
