‘Sit down, Shut up and Listen’ – how not to deal with disruption in the classroom

Tuesday 13 December 2016, 1 – 3pm, Collegiate campus (venue TBC)

Have you experienced disruptive behaviour in your classes? What is the best way to deal with disruptive and disengaged students?

In this exciting collaboration with students from SHU’s BA in Performance for Stage and Screen, this interactive session gives you the opportunity to explore different responses to disruption in the classroom.  By being part of this forum theatre performance, you will observe and discuss a range of different techniques that can be used to deal with disruptive students whilst maintaining a positive learning experience for the rest of the group.

This event is suitable for lecturers and tutors at all levels for experience.
