We’re delighted to announce the fifth of our film nights in our Equality in Motion series to support Sheffield Hallam’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
On Wednesday 7 December we’ll be hosting a special screening of the film “Cake” to mark Disability History Month 2016. Starring Jennifer Aniston, the acerbic, hilarious Claire Bennett becomes fascinated by the suicide of a woman in her chronic pain support group. As she uncovers the details of Nina’s suicide and develops a poignant relationship with Nina’s husband, she also grapples with her own, very raw personal tragedy (source: IMDB).
Taking place at the Curzon Cinema Sheffield, the event will start at 6pm. You can find out more and view a trailer of the film here.
Tickets are free to all Hallam staff and you can bring a plus one. If you’d like to come along to Equality in Motion on Wednesday 7 December, please send an expression of interest to Trish Elwis at diversity@shu.ac.uk by 5pm on Friday 2 December.
Because there are limited numbers of seats available we’ll let you know about your ticket/s by the end of play on Monday 5 December. If we are over-subscribed we will run a waiting list.
