The HE & Research Bill, currently before Parliament, allows all institutions who are eligible for Year 1 of the Teaching Excellence Framework to increase tuition fees to £9,250 to reflect the costs of inflation.
In line with the overwhelming majority of institutions, we will be applying the increased fee to UK and EU full time undergraduate students who commence their studies with us in 2017/18.
UK and EU part-time undergraduate students commencing study in 2017/18 will be charged the £9250 increased fee on a pro rata basis. Students who have deferred their 2016/17 place, will pay the tuition fees applicable to students starting in 2017/18.
Tuition fees for UK and EU students who commenced their studies prior to 2017/18 will remain at £9,000 for the duration of their programmes.
The Government has also announced that EU students applying for university places in the 2017/18 academic year will still have access to student funding support – for the duration of their course – even if the UK exits the European Union during that period.
