Win tickets to Off the Shelf: Jason Lewis and Nicholas Crane

Off the Shelf has grown into one of the largest literary festivals in the UK, attracting some of the best-known names in literature and media to Sheffield each year. The festival programme is wide ranging and offers over 200 events for all ages.

To celebrate our longstanding support of Off the Shelf, we are giving away two pairs of tickets to each of the following events:

The Expedition – Jason Lewis on Thursday 13 October, 7pm at the Pennine Lecture Theatre.

This illustrated talk chronicles the first human- powered circumnavigation of the Earth, battling wind and waves on a tiny boat and finding the inspiration for his new quest – to explore self-reliance through “Micro Earths” – sustainable living in small communities.

The Making of the British Landscape – Nicholas Crane on Thursday 20 October, 7pm at the Pennine Lecture Theatre.

Nicholas Crane, co-presenter of BBC series Coast, describes the evolution of Britain’s landscape from the impact of glaciation to the influences of the Iron Age, Roman occupation, Black Death, industrial revolution and climate change.

To be in with a chance of winning, email your contact details and which tickets you would like to win to eview@shu.ac.uk by the closing date of Monday 10 October. The first names drawn from all the entries will be the winners and notified on Monday 10 October. Good luck!
