Throughout 2016, our students and academic experts are working with local artists, makers and the people of Sheffield on a series of creative projects and one-off events that stretch right across our streets, markets, creative spaces and communities.

6pm: Universal Everything exhibition launch
This globally recognised Sheffield-based digital design agency creates inventive interactions through materials.
Venue: Cantor Building
The Universal Everything exhibition will run from 8 October until 6 November in the Cantor Building. Opening times: 10am – 5pm daily, including weekends and 10am – 8pm on Wednesdays.
7pm: Autopsy exhibition launch
The Head Post Office occupies a special place in the hearts of many Sheffield residents. This exhibition by photographer India Hobson charts its transformation into the new Sheffield Institute of Arts.
Venue: Post Hall, Sheffield Institute of Arts
Autopsy will run from 15−31 October in the Post Hall, Sheffield Institute of Arts. Opening times: Monday to Friday 8am – 10pm and Saturday 10am – 4pm.
7.30pm: Night Mail: Head Post Office Projection Mapping
A series of dramatic moving projections from Universal Everything using the former Head Post Office as a canvas.

Stars on Starting Out
Sheffield Institute of Arts and Yorkshire Artspace are pleased to announce Stars on Starting Out- a series of talks aimed at under- and post-graduates, emerging and progressing artists, makers and creative businesses, and anyone with an interest in visual arts, architecture and design. Taking place throughout October, high-profile guest speakers will discuss their career to date, and exploring successful strategies for starting out in the creative industries.
