Train ticket collection machines on campus

Sheffield Hallam have partnered with East Midlands Trains to install two ticket collection machines on campus this September at the following locations:

City Campus – The ticket machine will be located opposite the Peak Lecture Theatre on level five of the Owen Building. It will be situated against the wall close to the cash machine.

Collegiate Campus – The ticket machine will be located in the Heart of the Campus Building. It will be located close to the Students Union office and adjacent to the entrance to the lecture theatre and Hallam Active entrance in the lower atrium area.

Purchasing and collection

The machines are identical to those at the station allowing staff and students the ability to collect advanced purchased tickets on all routes across the country. This includes all operators, all routes and all ticket types (not just East Midland Train routes).  Customers can purchase tickets as usual from Clarity Travel Management, online from sites such as thetrainline.com or over the phone, and will be given a unique reference number to use when collecting.  As with the ticket machines at the station, a debit or credit card will be required to collect the tickets – this does not always have to be the card used to purchase.

The machines are for collection of tickets only and not the purchase of tickets.

Installation

The machines will be installed by 9 September and will go live on 12 September at both sites. They will be operational 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
