Clearing 2016

Supporting Clearing on social media

This Thursday, the University will enter Clearing in order to finalise our undergraduate recruitment for 2016/17.  To support our recruitment through this period, a multi-channel marketing campaign has been running in recent weeks featuring students who joined Hallam through clearing.

How you can help

We have launched a video across Facebook and Twitter featuring student Katie Blaylock giving advice to prospective students on how clearing works, helping them to be prepared ahead of A-level Results Day on Thursday.

We are hoping that you will support our push to get this content out to as many prospective students as possible, by sharing on social media through your own personal accounts and through any relevant University social media accounts that you manage.

Please see links to the posts below.

You can do this through liking, commenting and sharing or retweeting. Please use one or more of the following hashtags in order to maximise reach of the post:

  • #ResultsDay
  • #clearing
  • #UCASclearing
  • #alevelresults
  • #alevels

You can view more clearing video content including our ‘parents’ guide to clearing’ and other student stories at www.shu.ac.uk/clearing.

Clearing open days – Saturday 20 August and Tuesday 23 August 2016

The University’s clearing open days give visitors looking for a university place through clearing the opportunity to find out about our courses, to meet staff, and students and view both our campuses. Our clearing open days will take place on Saturday 20 August and Tuesday 23 August from 10am-2pm.

You may notice that our campuses are slightly busier during these days. If you are on campus, please be considerate to visitors by asking if they need directions or information. All visitors will be wearing stickers so should be easy to identify.
