There are some exciting changes at Hallam Union to share with University staff. Firstly, Julie Byrd has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union. For the past two years, Julie has been Chief Executive at University of Salford Students’ Union. She was previously Acting Head of Sport at the University of Sheffield and has a long history in students’ unions and student experience consultancy. Julie will be taking up her role at Hallam Union on 22 August.
The Students’ Union also has a new President, Emily Wilkes. Emily was the Sports & Physical Activity Officer for 2015/16 and was elected last week as President for 2016/17.
