Simply enter your details, select your team and download the app. If you’ve already got the Move More app then you’ll need to use your app login (email and password) to sign-up. You can join more than one team, but you need to repeat the login process choosing a different team each time. Your Move More Minutes will be recorded against each team you’re part of. You will need to keep the Move More app running in the background in order for it to collect data; if the app does not work on your phone, or you use a pedometer or similar device, you can manually enter your activity through the Move More website and these will be converted into Active Minutes.
The ‘Go for Gold’ challenge has an Olympic theme where participants are introduced to a new member of Team GB everyday of July and will be challenged to secure a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal for their athlete, their team and themselves by achieving 30 active minutes. You can check your score and your teams’ scores and see how other organisations are doing via the Workplace Challenge portal so keeping checking in for updates. Look out for bonuses like ‘double your minutes’ days to give you and your team the edge over your competition. Please note that your counter will reset to zero on 1 July ready for the challenge month.
The company with the most movement at the end of July will be awarded the title of Most Active Business in Sheffield.
