Higher and Degree Apprenticeships – website and breakfast briefings for staff

What are Higher and Degree Apprenticeships? How do they work and what do they mean for Sheffield Hallam? What is the Apprenticeship Levy and how will it affect Higher Education?

The Directorate of Education and Employer Partnerships has launched an internal Higher and Degree Apprenticeships website designed to be a go-to resource for Sheffield Hallam staff. It includes a FAQ, updates on our activity to date, what apprenticeships the University offers, and how the national policy and range of apprenticeships are developing. The site will be regularly updated with internal and external news and guidance.

In May, over 120 staff attended breakfast briefings introducing Higher and Degree Apprenticeships. Due to the great level of interest in the first series of briefings, two more events will be hosted:

  • Tuesday 21 June, 8.30 – 10am, Hallam View, City Campus.
  • Monday 27 June, 8.30 – 10am, HC.0.32, Heart of the Campus, Collegiate Campus.

For catering purposes please let us know you will attend by registering in advance.
