As part of the ongoing refurbishment works at Sheaf and EMB at City Campus, traffic and footpath restrictions will be in place on Pond Street from Tuesday 31 May to Friday 10 June. This is to enable steel installation work to take place on the new Atrium.
Traffic running along Pond Street, immediately outside Sheaf and EMB, will be restricted to single file, controlled by temporary traffic lights. The pedestrian footpath immediately outside the two buildings will be closed off, as will the zebra crossing opposite Surrey and Howard. The footpath on the opposite side of the road is unaffected, meaning pedestrians can still walk along Pond Street. Signage will be in place to inform pedestrians of alternative walking routes and crossing points.
Access to both Sheaf and EMB remains unaffected.
Please note that these restrictions will be in place during the first of this year’s general open days, on Friday 10 June. Colleagues should be aware of this if taking potential students and other visitors around this area.
