A new course is available for managers, called Managing Long Term Sickness Absence at SHU, which will provide managers with the tools and information to effectively manage long-term sickness absence.
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Explain your responsibilities in managing long-term sickness absence
- Explain key changes that have taken place following the review of the sickness procedure and ensure expectations are set within your team
- Identify key stages and actions in managing long-term sickness absence
- Describe when you will escalate issues around managing long-term sickness absence to potential formal action
