Do you have an interest in design or laser cutting?

If you spend more time studying the font used on a flyer rather than reading the message, or want to turn those intricate doodles on your note pad into a piece of artwork, then now’s the chance to sign-up to a number of short courses being held at the Sheffield Institute of Arts (SIA).

Our design courses give you the opportunity to learn the introductory skills needed to use industry-standard design packages, such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop.

These bite-size evening courses will take place in the Head Post Office over May and June.  Each course is delivered over four weeks with one three hour session each week from 5pm–8pm.

If you’d like any more information, course organiser Glyn Hawley will be holding drop-in sessions for staff to come along and have a chat with him about these courses on Friday 13 and Friday 20 May between 12 – 2pm in the Head Post Office café. Alternatively, you can email any questions to: g.hawley@shu.ac.uk

To sign-up for a course, please click here. Spaces are limited so early booking is recommended.

There are also upcoming dates for over the summer which offer both daytime and evening sessions which are due to be announced shortly.
