Participants aged 60 years plus, educated at least to A ‘level standard, are required for research investigating emotion perception in adults.
A number of tasks will be undertaken, some will be presented on a computer where the participant needs to use a response box to indicate their choice from the given options. Other tasks will include the participant selecting the meaning of a series of words, completing a pattern, a memory task and filling in questionnaires about social activities, demographic information and emotion.
Full information will be provided prior to consenting to participate. The study takes approximately 2 hours, including refreshment breaks. The research has been approved by the university’s ethics board.
Participants will receive a £10 high street voucher.
