Is your child interested in a career in medicine or healthcare? Perhaps they love sport but also enjoy sciences? Or maybe they are quite technical and like coding and making?
The new University Technical College (UTC) opening in September 2016 on the site of the former Don Valley Stadium will specialise in healthcare sciences, sports science and computing, offering a career-focused education. Students study technical subjects alongside GCSEs and A Levels working with universities and over 50 top employers in professional-standard facilities. Employer-led projects, mentoring and work experience give UTC students invaluable life skills and a head start for high quality careers from age 14.
