IS&T will be working in the Sheaf and Eric Mensforth Buildings and in the Showcase area on Friday 8 April and Saturday 9 April.
What will be affected?:
- Between 6pm and 10pm on Friday 8 April there will be no wired or wireless network services in Sheaf and EMB buildings.
- Between 6pm on Friday 8 April and 6pm Saturday 9 April, there will be no wired or wireless network services in the Showcase area.
This work will also affect VoiP (Unified Comms/SHU Way) phones, network printing, Audio Visual equipment, building management systems and other network-based IT services in these areas. Network and telephony services in other areas of the campus will operate as normal.
This work is part of an ongoing network upgrade programme which has been planned in consultation with stakeholders across the University to ensure there is capacity to meet future needs.
