Leadership in an academic environment is both challenging and fundamental to the success of the University. In order to support your personal leadership development, The Academic Leaders’ Programme has re-opened for applications.
If you would like to further strengthen your leadership skills and confidence in a supportive and challenging environment, then you can apply to be part of The Academic Leaders’ Programme. The programme was launched in March 2015 and has re-opened for a second cohort in March 2016.
The programme involves:
- An events calendar of workshops, discussion groups and guest lectures on relevant leadership topics
- Joining a group of peers from across the University to share common challenges, new approaches and support each other’s development as effective leaders
- A Blackboard site with leadership development articles, media clips and other resources linked to key academic leadership and management challenges
