Job Title: Senior Disability Adviser (Mental Health)
Salary: £32,600 to £36,672 per annum dependent on experience (fixed term maternity cover until 21/03/17)
Disabled Student Support (DSS) supports students with physical disabilities, Asperger syndrome, mental health difficulties, sensory impairments and specific learning difficulties. Nationally recognised as a leader in the field, the team also operates an externally accredited Assessment Centre for the purposes of enabling students to make appropriate claims for Disabled Student Allowances (DSA).
As a Senior Disability Adviser (Mental Health), you will take specialist responsibility for the provision of guidance and advice for students experiencing complex mental health conditions, provide advice and information to the Adviser team about appropriate referral routes for students with mental health conditions, both within the University, e.g. the Wellbeing Team, and externally and work closely with the Student Wellbeing Service in supporting initiatives aimed at improving the student experience for students with mental health difficulties.
