‘Couture’ handbags: Saturday 9 April, 10am-12.30pm
Learn the tricks for making a fantastic flower-filled handbag to wow your friends! You will cover an up-cycled container with dark green leaves and decorate with a wide choice of interesting materials. Then you fill it with flowers held in place with chicken wire. There will be a great selection of flowers available for your handbag, and there should be a few left to take home and arrange as you like. The workshop takes place in Millhouses. The usual cost is £50, but is offered to SHU staff for £45. The price covers all the flowers, materials and refreshments (tea/coffee, biscuits and a celebratory glass of wine at the end). The groups are small (about 4 people) and the emphasis is on having a great time as well as making something gorgeous to take home.
