Road closures and volunteers required – Plusnet Yorkshire Half Marathon

The 2016 Plusnet Yorkshire Half Marathon in Sheffield is taking place on Sunday 10 April.  For this year’s event, the course will remain unchanged with the event village being held across Peace Gardens and Tudor Square. The route will again begin on Arundel Gate, head out towards the Peak District along Ecclesall Road, round and into Dore, before returning to the city centre along Ecclesall Road and finishing on Pinstone Street outside of the Town Hall.

Road closures will be in place from 4am on Sunday 10 April which may impact on students living on the route and in the city centre. A road closure poster will be sent via post and email to those residents and business on the route. Please could you assist with sending this information to your students to ensure they are aware of the event and any road closure which may impact their access.

We also require a small army of volunteers and would like to offer University Sport Clubs and University Groups the opportunity to volunteer at the events. If any students or groups are interested in volunteering at the event, please email eventers@runforall.com.
