The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) published the long-awaited Green Paper on Higher Education: teaching excellence, social mobility and student choice on 6 November. The 105-page paper covers three main issues: the introduction of the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), a restructure of the organisations that oversee higher education and the entry of new providers into the sector. The paper also briefly touches on plans for research and the research funding environment.
The University has submitted a response to the Green Paper consultation. This includes input from across the University, as well as the University Leadership Team. Our response to the HE Green Paper Consultation can be found on the staff intranet.
