Every year, the Venture Matrix staff team organise and take part in various fundraising activities, from bake sales and coffee mornings to dress-diabolical days and sporting challenges, helping to raise money for local charities and good causes.
We started the year bringing academics, students and local businesses together to celebrate successful student work-related learning partnerships with local organisations. Together we raised £105 for St. Luke’s Hospice.
Throughout the year the team have also ‘dressed down’ for charity raising money for Diabetes UK and holding a coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Alongside these activities, we also support individual fundraising, from yard sales and collections to a half marathon and ‘Santa Fun Run’.
This academic year, we’ve collectively raised over £600 for good causes. These fundraising activities are not only a great way for us to give back to the community but they also help team building, bringing everyone together to achieve a shared goal.
