Do you have an interest in research, data collection and analysis? Would you like to take part in a free training programme with other like-minded people to develop skills in these areas?
We are looking for people, aged 50+, to take part in a free and engaging peer researcher training course and develop their research skills. This course will involve 3 x 2 hour sessions and will be ran in January 2016 by CRESR (The Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research). It promises to be informative, challenging and will give you the chance to develop your personal skills and knowledge.
You will then be supported to use these skills in the field to interview participants and collect data which will help to improve Sheffield’s health and social care services, including those that matter to you.
Content covered includes:
- Research practice
- Ethics (interviewing vulnerable people, maintaining boundaries, mental capacity)
- Interview and research skills
