Nominations are now open for staff wishing to join the University’s Information and Consultation Committee (ICC).
The ICC provides an opportunity for managers, trade union representatives and elected staff representatives to discuss and work together on university-wide issues such as financial performance, the business strategy, employment matters and the working environment.
An elected member is sought to represent staff in one of each of four areas of the University – administrative; technical; support (manual); and teaching and research.
If you think you could represent your staff group on all aspects of University business, bringing their opinions to the table and sharing information, then why not consider putting yourself forward as a potential ICC member? As a staff representative, you will have the opportunity to learn about various issues, meet colleagues from across the University and be able to comment on and influence University decisions.
The term of office will start in Spring 2016 and the four elected representatives are expected to sit on the ICC for two years.
Nominations for all four positions are open now and will close on 30 January 2016. Elections are scheduled to take place in February. Information on nominees, as well as on how to vote, will be given in the New Year. For now, if you wish to nominate yourself to stand for election, please visit the Working Together intranet site.
