Over the last two years, the Facilities Directorate has supported the NSPCC and Weston Park Hospital as its charity partners and, in the process, raised over £17,000.
Recently FD staff have voted for Cavendish Cancer Care as its new charity partner. They are a local charity based in Sheffield which helps to improve the quality of life for people living with cancer in South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
We are now working on a Christmas fundraising campaign which will be publicised soon. One of the activities we are taking part in is the Xmas Fayre in Heartspace on 2-3 December where FD will have a stall. We need your help to make this a success! We will be selling ‘preloved’ jewellery so if you have any ‘gems’ you want to be donated for a worthy cause, please email Deborah Cooke on d.cooke@shu.ac.uk before the end of November. We will also have a tombola so any donations of prizes would be gratefully received by the end of November!
