The annual Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey is carried out on behalf of the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) which captures a snapshot of graduate employment six months after graduation.
The survey includes graduates from both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes who have studied full-time, part-time and/or by distance learning. This includes UK, EU and Overseas graduates (including TAR UC) with specific response rate targets for each group mandated by HESA.
The DLHE survey results influence national newspaper university league tables and the most critical data for league table position are the proportion of graduates in work or further study, and the proportion of graduates in professional or managerial jobs.
The DLHE survey will be live from 10 November 2015 – 7 March 2016 in time with the Graduation ceremonies taking place from 9 November. If you are talking to graduates from your course/department at the ceremonies please remind them to complete the survey online, the importance of the survey and show them flyers of graduate destinations results from last year’s survey.
The University results are available to all staff via The Source. Sector results feature in the Employability Monitoring Report. For more information on the DLHE survey, including how staff can help to boost response rates, search “DLHE” on the staff intranet.
