Aurora – women-only leadership development programme

We are looking for applications from prospective female participants to take part in the 2015/16 cohort of the Aurora leadership development programme.

This programme aims to enable a wide range of women in academic and professional roles within the university to think of themselves as future leaders, develop the skills they need and maximise the use of the skills they acquire.

Participants will be matched with a suitable mentor and will attend five development days, organised by the LFHE (Leadership Foundation for Higher Education). These will cover “Identity, Impact and Voice”, “Power and Politics and Action Learning”, “Core Leadership Skills” and “Adaptive Leadership Skills”.  These days will also provide networking opportunities with successful women in Higher Education who are positive role models. In support of the programme we also run internal events for participants to ensure they get the most from the programme.

For more information and to download self-nomination forms visit the Aurora web page.  The deadline for applications is 25 September at 5pm.

Should you have any queries regarding the programme please contact Tracey Parr on ext. 6173 (t.parr@shu.ac.uk).
