On Wednesday 29 July, staff and students took part in the annual Sheffield Wellbeing Festival which promotes mental health and wellbeing and provides an opportunity to showcase the support available for students and staff at Sheffield Hallam.
Sheffield Hallam has contributed to the event since 2009 and is seeing greater engagement from various departments, with representatives from Advice and Information, Student Wellbeing, Disabled Student Support, the Diversity team and from Faculties. Passers-by were invited to try out an activity to explore one of the “Five Ways to Wellbeing” http://www.neweconomics.org/projects/entry/five-ways-to-well-being including origami, ‘spot the difference’ and hula hooping for those feeling more energetic!
There were over 100 visitors to the stall. One member of the public who took part in the activities commented ‘Thank you very much for everything – You’re the best team!’
