Using Google Chrome web pages in teaching

If you use Google Chrome for web pages in your teaching please check that they still work properly in the latest version of Chrome. Google has removed support for some plug ins which use NPAPI (Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface) from versions 43 or higher of its Chrome browser. This mainly affects web pages using Java programming code.

You can check which version of Chrome you are using by entering “Chrome://chrome/” in the address bar of the browser. Google has made the change as a security measure.

For more information, please see this blog article on Google Chrome updates and this information from Google on NPAPI plugins.
