University’s Anti-Bribery Commitment

The University remains committed to tackling and preventing bribery and corruption in all its forms, both in the UK and in our work with overseas partners and agents.

Governance and Planning Services will shortly be contacting staff whose roles involve work in areas of bribery risk to offer refresher training on the following:

  • What is bribery?
  • Where to find the Anti-Bribery policy and related resources
  • What can University staff do spot and prevent bribery?
  • Examples of scenarios and how to react

Managers – don’t forget that new staff in risk areas should be completing the online doing business without bribery module as part of their induction.

For more information and links to useful documents visit the Secretariat Intranet page where you can also download the University’s Anti-Bribery Policy.

If you have any other queries about bribery issues, please contact Rosie Hancock, Legal Services Officer, Governance and Planning Services, SRD on r.hancock@shu.ac.uk, ext.3854.
