In 2007/08 we launched a student poetry competition called ‘Words on the Wall’ to look at ways of using student work in new spaces and inspire those who used them.
The competition has gone from strength to strength over the last seven years, attracting entries from post-graduates, undergraduates, distance learners and part time students from a range of subjects.
The winning poems are displayed on large canvasses in both learning centres and the winning poets take home a canvas too.
Everyone is invited to come along to this year’s prize giving event on Thursday 23 April, 5 – 7pm at Hallam View and see our students reading some of their poems.
