Guardian Live with Rick Edwards – Ticket Giveaway

We are hosting a Guardian Live event on 23 April, hosted by Rick Edwards and the University’s politics team and featuring a panel of experts.

We have 20 free tickets to give away to Sheffield Hallam staff.

The first 20 people to email n.kelly@shu.ac.uk with their full name will qualify for a free ticket to this event (normal price £5).  If you miss out on a free one, you can buy tickets on the Guardian website.

You talk, they listen: Does Westminster work for us?
Is Westminster working on behalf of the whole country or are vested interests in London shifting the balance unfairly? Is devolution an option?

Statistics show that young people are increasingly disengaged from politics, but is apathy to blame, or does the failure lay with politicians?

Join host Rick Edwards, the University’s head of politics, Dr Andy Price, and a panel of experts and Guardian writers as we look at why Politics isn’t working for all and what the next Government should do about it.

The Panel includes:
Helen Pidd: The Guardian
Martin Wainwright: The Guardian
Professor Ian Rotherham: Sheffield Hallam University
Professor Matthew Flinders: University of Sheffield

Thursday 23 April, 7pm – 8.30pm: Pennine Lecture Theatre, City Campus
