IT Network upgrade work over Easter weekend

IS&T will be completing the network upgrade of the Science Park Units over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend and changing the switches in the Arundel Building and Cantor. This upgrade work has been brought forward as we need to reallocate resources because of delays to the new Charles Street Building and data centre.

Network upgrade at Science Park, Friday 3 April, 8am – Saturday 4 April, 12am

Impacted Services:

  • Wired and wireless network services will be unavailable on Friday and Saturday. This will also impact printing, Audio Visual equipment and building management systems in the units.
  • Telephones which connect via VoIP will be unavailable on both days.
  • Access to the building will be restricted solely to members of the upgrade team for Health and Safety reasons. We will work closely with security to limit the time and impact of this restricted access period.
