Sheffield Marrow, the student branch of Anthony Nolan, is holding a donor recruitment event at Sheffield Hallam on Thursday 12 March between 10 and 4 in the Atrium, City Campus.
We will be signing up potential lifesavers to the UK stem cell register who could donate their stem cells to a patient with blood cancer, or another blood disorder, if they need a transplant to save their life.
Signing up simply involves filling out a form and spitting in a tube, then there is a 1 in 100 chance that you could be called up to donate and potentially save a life. If you are interested, watch this video for more information on how this happens: www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_RwDkcEDyE
