Friends of the Himalayan Children’s’ Care Home

William Russ from the Sheffield Hallam Students Union will be trekking to the Everest Base Camp in April to raise money for Friends of the Himalayan Children’s’ Care Home. http://www.everyclick.com/everestbasecampforhcch

Friends of the Himalayan Children’s Care Home is a UK based charity that supports a wonderful home that resides in Pokhara, Nepal.

Donations will help provide essentials like food, bedding, clothes, utilities and education to much loved children from one of Nepal’s poorest and isolated areas.
If you wish to make a direct donation and avoid website charges please visit the charity’s website and click the ‘Donate’ tab for the bank details. Just please remember to mention our trek in your reference so we know where it came from!

The 50+ children that live at the home all come from Mustang, which lies very close to the Tibetan border and is such a harsh environment, many of its inhabitants leave for 6 months during winter to find work when they can no longer farm their land.

Please visit the charity’s website to find out more and give them a like on Facebook while you’re at it by following the links below:
