Grandma Remember Me – exploring the impact of dementia

Grandma Remember Me, a play exploring the impact of dementia, is coming to the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing as part of its 2014 UK tour.

Performed by the Az2B theatre company, this story explores the relationship between a grandma and her granddaughter, Lilly, from Lilly’s initial recognition that there is something wrong with her grandma, through the unfolding challenges and final acceptance and understanding of the disease.

The play looks at the wider impact on family, the need for support and understanding within our communities and the importance of memories and relationships within our lives and how to keep and treasure them. It has been used in training of GPs,  medical students and nurses across the country.

The play will be performed exclusively for staff and students in F518, Robert Winston Building on Thursday 27 November at 3pm and 6pm and Friday 28 November at 11am and 2pm.
